Report for 05/15/12 The Lake Trout fishing continues to be outstanding with limits on most trips Salmon fishing has been a little slow but it should start any day now the water temp is almost perfect for them keep checking here and as soon as the Salmon are biting good I will post it here.Check our photo gallery for our most recent catches.We have had a few last minute cancellations so if you would like to book a trip I still have plenty of openings so give me a call 1-802-324-2289 Captain Brian Report for 05/06/12 The Lake Trout fishing continues to be outstanding we had a 6 hour trip Saturday afternoon fished a couple hours for Salmon with out much luck the night before in the same spot we fished 2 hours and landed 5 nice Salmon but they where not biting on this trip switched over for Lake Trout and the action was none stop with doubles on most of the time we landed 20 Lake Trout all in the 4 to 8 lb range and 1- 7 lb Lake Whitefish that qualifies for the Vermont Master Angler program.The fish are still near the surface so long lines on planer boards and down riggers set shallow seem to be the ticket with 4 to 6 inch lures in various colors The fishing is great so give me a call to plan you're trip I still have plenty of openings for May,June,July,august,and September 1-802-324-2289 Captain Brian Report for 05/01/12 Had a 4 hour trip today fished the surface down to 15 feet caught 1 Steelhead and 9 Lake Trout had a great trip fish are strating to bite really good so give me a call 1-802-324-2289 Captain Brian Report for 04/27/12 The fishing on Lake Champlain continues to be outstanding Lake Trout and Salmon are biting great on the surface with stick baits.Crappie,Sunfish,Yellow Perch and White Perch are all biting very well when the sun comes out and it warms up.There have been some exceptional Rainbow Trout and Steelhead caught this spring in the major rivers feeding Lake Champlain. This is gonig to be a great year on Lake Champlain so to experience some of the best fishing in the North East give me a call and book you're trip now I still have plenty of days open in May and June. Captain Brian 1-802-324-2289 Report for 04/18/12 We are know doing charters on our 22 foot Crestliner until May 1st when our 28 1/2 foot Baha goes in the water.Fished a couple times this week with good sucess. The Salmon are running 17 to 20 inches with an ocassional 22 to 24 inch fish.The Lake Trout are averaging4 to 8 lbs with an occasional 10 lb plus fish. The Salmon and Lake Trout are both near the surface so planner boards and Down riggers set shallow 5 to 15 feet down are working good.Lure and Spoons are both working good brite colors on the Salmon and black and silver or blue and silver are working good on laker's.This morning on a 4 hour trip with 2 guys we landed 8 Salmon and 5 Lake Trout and lost 6 others The bite is good now and should continue thru May and early June so give me a call to book you're trip Captain Brian 1-802-324-2289 Report for 04/04/12 The open water fishing is well under way Lake Trout and Salmon are both bitting good look for pockets of warm water and long line spoons and stick baits near the surface.The next warm spell we have should get the panfish back on a regular bite they have been slow since the cold weather came back. We are booking lots of trips Now for May and June so give me a call to save you're date Captain Brian 1-802-324-2289 Report for 02/27/12 Ice fishing on Lake Champlain is still great with lots of fish being caught but ice conditions are not very good in a lot of places so call a head before making a trip We are getting ready for spring fishing now and it looks like it is going to be a great year with bigger and more abundaint fish being caught this should be an excellent year.So to exsperience some of the best Lake Trout and Atantic Salmon fishing in the noth east give me a call Captain Brian 1-802-324-2289 Report for 02/02/12 Ice fishing has been great on Lake Champlain this season even with the lack of good ice there have been some exceptional catches several Northern Pike over 15 lbs have been caught with the biggest being 22.54lbs.Just this week there was an Alantic Salmon caught that was 34" and weighed 11lbs.Yellow Perch,Sunfish,Crappie and Bluegills have been biting well in most areas with ice.Ice condition on the Lake still vary alot so use caution and check the ice before going on it good luck and go catch some fish.We are booking trips now for spring Salmon and Lake Trout fishing so give me a call to book the best dates Capt Brian 1-802-324-2289
