The fishing is good in all areas now. Fishing the bottom
and suspended deep for lakers is working great. The salmon and browns are
suspended 25 to 50 feet down.
The salmon are good in the Inland Sea, Malletts Bay and the southern sections of the main lake. The mid main part of the lake they're more spotty but good size when you get some. Small to medium size spoons are best baits. The lakers are hitting medium to large spoons best but stick bait are working too. The Walleyes are being caught in the open waters near reefs early and late as well as night time but it's spotty. One again if you find them it's good but you'll need to put in some time. The fishing is very good this year with many lakers in the larger sizes. I have open dates so call for a booking. This report done 07/01/09 There's a new downrigger release out that really works well and it's called the Chamberlain Release. Check it out on the web at http://downriggerrelease.com/ Try some you'll like them. Please join the Lake Champlain Walleye Assn. as they have big plans for next year as well as some now in full swing. Check out there web site.
